1 kg onion Cold water
Olive oil
Salt
120ml (½ cup) white wine vinegar
1 tbsp honey
470ml (2 cups) water
METHOD

Peel the onions. Put them in a colander and rinse them with cold water. Put a little oil in a pan, add the onions and stir for 6 minutes.
Pour the white wine vinegar over the onions, cover and cook for another few minutes. Add honey, stir, add water, cover, and cook over low heat for 45 minutes.
